Air Combat during WW I

Kaiser Wilhelm, Emperor of Germany

German field bakery
Napoleon said, "an army travels on its' stomach."
The Germans know this well and have equipped their army with the
most advanced field bakery in the war. Each wagon supplies
1,600 men a day and they have 25 wagons with each army corps
40,000 soldiers.

German defense against the airship - the Krupp gun on
a Mercedes autotruck
This deadly Krupp aeroplane gun is mounted on a
Mercedes autotruck. The aeroplane is a difficult
target because of its' rapid flight, but these guns have proved
effective.

The new German Siege Gun
The Germans have proved their skill in the "art of war"
by keeping the existence of these huge guns secret until
deployed with great success at Antwerp, Namur and Meubeuge.
This gun is transported by rail as close as possible in sections
due to its' weight.

Germany's mammoth Zeppelins
These great dirigible airships, hundreds of feet long,
were invented and perfected by the aged Count Zeppelin.
they have an effective range of a thousand miles and the German
airships are much more advanced than airships of other nations.

Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin
This was taken as a General in the German Army. He was the
creator of the lighter than air dirigible and founded the German company that
produced them, Zeppelin
Luftschifftechnik.
