Canadian Royal Horse Artillery Canada pledged 200,000 troops to the war and this is
the first contingent of 33,000 to embark for Europe.
Canada's rich agricultural resources have provided some of the
finest horses to serve in the war.
Canadian Infantry This is the Winnipeg 19th regiment rifles marching
toward the front. Many Canadian soldiers are veterans of
the British Army, some saw service in South Africa.
Canadian Motorized Machine Gun Battery The machine guns crews were well protected from rifle
fire by the thick armor plates that cover the car.
