The postcard states, "This beautiful structure of Georgia Colonial architecture was opened in Nov. 1927 as a home for the aged and infirm members of the National Order of Railway conductors.  It contains 100 rooms with private baths and is located on Oatland Island, five miles from the business district of Waycross.  It was built at a cost of $300,000.
