Old Governor's Mansion, Milledgeville, GA
Georgia Governors occupied this as their official
residence from 1838-1868. Since 1890, it has been the home
of the College President of Georgia College and State University
and its' predecessors. It is one of the most perfect
examples of Greek Revival Architecture in America.

This historic old building was built in 1806 and was
the capitol during the 60 years that Milledgeville was Georgia's
capital. In this building was held the secession
convention in 1861 where Georgia seceded from the Union.
