Jekyll Island, Brunswick, St. Simons - Transportation

Jekyll Island Docks, Jekyll Island, GA
For many years, boats were the only way to get on the island until a causeway and bridge were built.
Postmarked in 1950.   Originally, the island was called "Ospo" by the Indians, but the name was changed to Jekyll Island by Oglethorpe in honor of Sir Joseph Jekyll who contributed heavily to the founding of the colony of Georgia.
