This live oak is the oldest and largest tree on Jekyll Island and is estimated to be 350 years old.  The Live Oak is Georgia's State Tree.

 


Lanier's Oak, Brunswick, GA
As the legend goes, Sidney Lanier composed the famous poem "The Marshes of Glynn" under this tree.
