Lamar Hospital, Augusta, GA
The hospital, built in 1894, was constructed with funds
donated by Gazeway Lamar who specified it was to be "used to
build a hospital for the exclusive care of Negro patients.".
It burned in 1910 and the Tabernacle Baptist Church was built on
the site.

Veterans Administration Hospital, Augusta, GA
Postcard states it is "located on the hills above the
city on a tract of 165 acres of rolling woodland, where bracing
climate, dry air and clear skies enable the patients to spend
most of their waking hours out of doors throughout the year."

University Hospital, Augusta, GA
Built circa 1915, it featured 270 beds with separate
wings for white and black patients. The buildings
were torn down in 1990.
